EngageLab MA WebPush Configuration Guide

What is WebPush?

WebPush is a browser-based push channel provided by EngageLab for delivering messages to users via their web browsers. Users only need to grant permission in their browser to receive push notifications on desktop or mobile devices.

WebPush is commonly used for:

• Website message alerts (e.g., order status updates, promotional campaigns)
• Cart abandonment reminders
• Content update notifications (articles, videos, news, etc.)

Similar to AppPush, once a Web Source (Data Source) is added, the system automatically generates the corresponding reach channel.

Configuration Steps

Step 1: Add a Web Application in "Data Sources"

1. Log in to the EngageLab console and navigate to the "Data Sources" page.

2. Click "Add Data Source".

3. Select the type as Web Application (Web Source).

4. Choose a WebPush application.

📋 Note: If you haven't created one yet, first create a WebPush application on the WebPush Product Page.

Step 2: Verify the Automatically Created WebPush Channel

1. After adding the Web data source, go to "Basic Settings → Reach Channels".

2. You will see a WebPush channel automatically generated by the system.

3. Confirm that the channel status is "Enabled".

📋 Note: No manual channel setup is required—the system automatically binds the channel based on your Web Source.

Step 3: Integrate EngageLab WebPush SDK into the Front-End Web Page

Step 4: Verify Device Token Reporting

1. Log in to the EngageLab MA console and go to Metadata Management → User Management.

2. Search for the target device's Registration ID.

3. If the device record is found, the SDK integration is successful.

Step 5: Use WebPush in MA Journeys

1. Navigate to Marketing Automation → Journey.

2. Open or create a new journey.

3. Add a "Send Message" node and select WebPush as the reach channel.

4. Enter the message content.

5. Save and Publish the journey.
