We opened our G2 dashboard this week and found three new High Performer badges waiting in the Fall 2026 reports. All three sit next to Grid reports we've never been ranked on before. That's a quieter, more interesting milestone than a single splashy Leader badge — and worth a short, honest post.

What the G2 High Performer Badge Actually Is

G2 is the world's largest software marketplace, and the High Performer designation is one of four positions in a G2 Grid® Report (alongside Leader, Contender, and Niche). It is not a paid placement, an editorial pick, or a self-nominated award. G2 builds the Grid using:

  • Verified user reviews from people who actually bought and used the product
  • Satisfaction scores across satisfaction, ease of use, support quality, and direction
  • Market presence — category recognition, web traffic, employee count, search interest
  • Statistical significance — enough review volume for the data to mean something

A company ends up in the High Performer quadrant when customers consistently rate them well, but they haven't yet reached the scale signals (employee growth, market share) that define a Leader. In other words: real product satisfaction is there; the question is momentum.

What Customers Keep Saying on G2

You can read all the EngageLab reviews yourself. But a few themes repeat across our highest-rated feedback:

  • Deliverability is the deciding factor. Buyers consistently call out inbox placement, push receipt rates, and the operational visibility that comes with self-owned infrastructure rather than reseller routing.
  • Self-serve onboarding. Engineering and growth teams want to ship in days, not weeks — and rate vendors on setup speed, SDK quality, and documentation depth.
  • Pricing scales predictably. Reviews repeatedly mention the lack of per-seat creep — particularly in comparison with vendors whose prices jump the moment a new channel or a new automation seat is added.
  • Multichannel coverage matters more than analyst hype. Teams that started with one channel end up needing three. Customers say this in different words, but the point is the same.

The Work Behind the Badges

The recognition traces back to a few fundamentals that we invest in every quarter regardless of what any single G2 report says:

  • Owned delivery infrastructure, not reseller stacks. We operate our own channel infrastructure — including email and push delivery — with 7 global data nodes across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
  • A modular product model — 10 products you can adopt one at a time: AppPush, WebPush, Email, SMS, WhatsApp Business API, OTP, CAPTCHA, Silent Auth, Marketing Automation, and LiveDesk. No forced bundle.
  • Developer-first APIs. 800,000+ developers, 12 billion+ messages a day, public docs, sandbox environments, and webhooks before dashboards get in the way.
  • Compliance baked in. SOC 2 and ISO/IEC certified, GDPR and PDPA compliant, with multi-region data residency — relevant for buyers in finance, healthcare, and any mid-market company running enterprise security reviews.

EngageLab vs. the Field at a Glance

Most evaluation teams end up with a shortlist of two or three platforms. We publish detailed, vendor-by-vendor comparison pages specifically so you can do apples-to-apples homework without a sales call first. Here is the current set, covering the platforms our reviewers most often compare us to:

Comparison Decision factors covered Read
EngageLab vs OneSignal Push depth, in-app, email/SMS/WhatsApp, OTP, migration path Open
EngageLab vs Firebase Channel coverage, OEM push, automation, pricing model Open
EngageLab vs Braze Platform layer, orchestration depth, native security, pricing Open
EngageLab vs MoEngage TCO, channel coverage, segmentation, mid-market fit Open
EngageLab vs Airship Mobile-first orchestration, OEM push, automation, scale Open
EngageLab vs Twilio Communication APIs, deliverability, channel breadth Open
EngageLab vs SendGrid Email deliverability, transactional vs marketing, infra ownership Open
EngageLab vs CleverTap Analytics stack assumption, pricing model, buyer fit Open

Each page follows the same format: a snapshot table, a "Where [Vendor] Wins" and a "Where EngageLab Wins" section, a pricing comparison, and an FAQ — so you can line up the same dimensions across all eight at once.

Want to See What We're Actually About?

Two options, depending on how far along you are:

  • Already evaluating? Run a 30-day AppPush trial or a 15-day WebPush trial and ship a real campaign against your own audience. Email is free to send up to 50 messages a day.
  • Mid-evaluation? Read the full G2 reviews — including the negative ones — and decide for yourself.

Thank you to every customer who left a review — and to the G2 methodology team for keeping the data clean.
