Security Center
The EngageLab OTP Security Center provides application-based OTP security management for developers. You can observe the security status via the overview, and perform various security management operations by channel (SMS, WhatsApp, Voice, Email, ...).
SMS
Sending Frequency
- Frequency limit: When enabled, SMS OTP requests are limited by time window per same number and same IP.
- By number: Controls the sending cap for the same mobile number across different time dimensions; once the cap is reached, requests are automatically blocked.
- By IP address: Controls the request cap for the same IP address across different time dimensions. Requires adding the
end_user_ipparameter when sending an OTP request to take effect. See Send OTP.
Send Volume Threshold
Set global-dimension warning values and quota values. When the warning value is reached, a notification is sent; when the quota value is reached, sending is automatically paused. Supports daily or monthly settings.
- Warning value: When the value is reached within the time range, an alert message can be sent (without pausing the service). You must first set a callback event in Webhook.
- Quota value: When the value is reached within the time range, SMS sending will be stopped. To send alert messages, Webhook callback event configuration is likewise required.
Country/Region Management
Manage the SMS sending scope by country/region.
- Whitelist: Send SMS only to countries/regions in the whitelist.
- Blacklist: Send SMS only to countries/regions outside the blacklist.
Emergency Stop
When an emergency occurs on the SMS channel and you must stop the SMS sending channel for the entire application, you can pause it with one click here for quick loss containment.
